Travelling vs Tourist


  • Travelers and tourists are both people who travel to different locations. The difference is that they have different connotations and that one is a broader term than the other. All tourists are travelers, but not all travelers are tourists. The word 'traveler' simply means someone who travels.



Traveling means to go feom one place to another, as by car, train, plane, or ship; take a trip; journey:
To travel for pleasure.

Travelling means moving from one place to another, especially to perform or while working,etc.
  • A travelling opera company/circus.
  • A travelling salesman.
  • A travelling student.
  • A travelling teacher.
  • A travelling businessman.
  • The travelling public, etc.
A traveler is like a visitor. There are two types of visitors:-
  1. Same day visitors
  2. Tourist
  • Same day visitors:- Same day visitors are those who can't saty at night. That means within 24 hours they come home/ back. They go for visit the place and can't stay that's why they are known as same day visitors.
  • Tourist:-  Tourist are those person who visit the place and also stay at 1-2 days. At least spent 24 hours/ a night than we called tourist.
